Activities

The Medical Sciences section is dedicated to research in the field of medical sciences. This covers a diverse field of basic sciences, such as anatomy (including histology, embryology, & neuroanatomy), biochemistry (including medical genetics & nutrition), behavioral science, microbiology, immunology, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology. Other important areas are public health, epidemiology, health services, and clinical sciences. Research designs may be for addressing prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, or quality of life. Case studies are also appropriate, as well as basic research involving animal models that adds to the knowledge-base of the medical field.
